What to Include in a Private Label Apparel Quote Request

Use this private label apparel quote checklist to define product details, quantities, materials, branding, packaging and delivery for clear supplier pricing.

A useful private-label quotation needs more than a product photo and a target price. It should show what the product is, what will carry the buyer's brand, how the order is divided and which decisions still need supplier input. Clear inputs make quotations easier to compare.

Define the product before the branding

Share the reference, style number, size range, expected fit, fabric direction and important construction details. Mark what must match the reference and what can be adjusted. Branding cannot compensate for an unclear base product.

List every branded component

Separate main label, size label, care label, hangtag, embroidery, print, hardware, packaging and carton requirements. Include dimensions, artwork format, color reference, placement and attachment method where known.

Show the quantity breakdown

Provide total quantity plus the split by style, color and size. A quote based on one color cannot be assumed to cover five colors. State whether quantities are estimates for planning or confirmed order numbers.

Explain the commercial context

Target market, intended use, testing or labeling requirements, delivery location and desired decision date help the supplier identify missing questions. Do not ask the supplier to guess regulatory requirements for a market that has not been named.

Practical application

A common mistake to avoid

A frequent mistake is sending logo artwork while leaving the garment itself undefined. Another is asking for one unit price without stating color and size quantities. The resulting estimate may look precise but cannot represent the eventual order.

What to record

Keep a quote revision that lists product specification, quantity breakdown, included branded components, packaging, currency, trade terms, sample charges and validity. When one input changes, ask the supplier to identify the commercial effect rather than replacing the entire discussion informally.

How to use this in a supplier conversation

Invite the supplier to mark every assumption and exclusion. This gives you a question list for the next round and reduces the chance that a low initial price omits labels, special trims or packing that the brand expects.

MANRALIN perspective

MANRALIN treats public product prices as planning references. A final private-label quotation follows the confirmed fabric, colors, trims, customization, packaging, quantity and order details.
